(映维网 2017年08月23日)近日，旧金山虚拟现实团队Construct VR宣布关门倒闭。Construct VR是一家由著名孵化器YC投资的VR创业公司，致力于企业VR应用的分发。
根据映维网收到的通知邮件Construct VR因没有可持续的商业模式而走向关门。Construct VR在邮件中说：“我们开始ConstructVR的愿景是为你的应用构建一个最为简单的分发平台，我们非常自豪于能与全世界最具影响力的VR公司合作。在创办至今的17个月里，我们有幸与成千上万名VR体验开发者合作，从客服培训到建筑设计。能够看到你的VR创新是我们最为高兴的经历。跟所有企业一样，我们一直在与时间赛跑，希望可以开发出一个可持续发展的商业模型。我们最终探索出数十个营收策略，但无法寻找出一个可以维持我们快速增长的可行商业模型。因此，我们非常遗憾地宣布，我们将会关闭ConstructVR。”

First and foremost, we truly want to thank you for choosing to be a part of our ConstructVR community and our rollercoaster of a VR journey! We believe that your ability to turn imagination into reality will be the reason that VR will positively affect everyone’s life in the future.
We started ConstructVR with the grandiose vision to create the simplest distribution platform for your apps and are extremely proud to have been able to collaborate with the most influential VR companies worldwide. In the 17 months since we launched, we’ve had the privilege to work with tens of thousands of people working on VR experiences ranging from customer service training to architectural design. It has been the most exhilarating experience to see your VR innovations!
As with any business, we’ve been racing against the clock to develop a sustainable business model. We ended up exploring dozens of monetization strategies but were unable to find the viable business model we needed to sustain our rapid growth. As a result, we are deeply sorry to announce that we are shutting down ConstructVR.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for supporting the ConstructVR team. It’s because of you that we were able to work on our dream every single day!
